"Little Red Riding Hood" is a classic European fairy tale about a young girl, a disguised wolf, and a grandmother, tracing back to oral traditions. It was famously recorded by Charles Perrault in 1697 (as a cautionary tale) and the Brothers Grimm in 1812 (often featuring a woodsman rescue).

Great Russian playwright of the XX century, Evgeny Schwarts gave his wonderful interpretation:

"Be careful, Red Riding Hood," warns Mother, "as you go by the swamp. Don't stumble. Don't slip. Don't trip. Don't fall in the water." Red Riding Hood can't believe there could be danger on her path and she disregards the warnings. The birds become a friendly reconnaissance squad. The rabbits, to whom she taught courage, are prepared to fight in her defense, and the shifting patterns of battle that emerge in this war between good and angry and cunning animals make this play extraordinary.

Our Red Riding Hood is not the traditional little girl, she is steadfastly determined to make the forest a safe place for everyone to live.
